I saw a question earlier about the difference between making love and having sex and it really interested me and made me think...do people prefer having sex or making love??? I know the distinction that everyone seemed to have was the emotions involved and so I can assume that most of us females enjoy making love more being we are obviously more emotional, but men...which do you prefer?

There is not a better feeling then making love. That includes the full package of touching, kissing, foreplay, close physical enjoyment, and cuddling. I love the way an evening goes when it all comes together. The sex aspect that can be a totally different feeling before during and after.!

Ah yes, one of the age old questions where the responses just have not kept up with the times.
The obvious answer: making love of course.. this is because "just sex" or casual sex, or any other label just refers to in it's raw grab/screw state.. Not much fun and definetly not emotional.
*** An updated perspective ***
1) To make love you must be in love.. So where does that leave the subject when you are single and not interested in a loving life partner??
2) PASSION is the answer; You can and should touch souls in the process.. i.e. don't just rush into it.. Take the time to come out from behind whatever emotional barriers you have and really feel the person you're with.
- We prefer to call it "sensual sexual gratification".. It's not "just sex" but it's not making love either... It's the next best thing to sharing Love and intimacy for those of us that do not get emotionally envolved easily.

Well, it can go both ways. My husband and I enjoy making love b/c of the connection and it feels like we are pouring out the love we have for one another. On the other hand, we do enjoy just plain sex. There's just the excitement element to sex like just walking up to him and pushing him against a wall, on the floor, bed, etc. and just going at it. Both make the relationship healthy, sex just keeps that excitement an fire you had when you first met. Also, make-up sex is great to b/c there's a lot of raw passion and energy involved!!!

Making love, unless your a total dick and your goal is to get on to get off and you have no emotional attachment to the girl. Otherwise making love because the two of you are totally engulfed in each other and each are doing things for each other that makes the other want to equally treat the other and it turns into a sort of stand off between lovers on how much they can do for the other.

I can speak for both of us. My man and I have discussed this before and he agrees with me that making love is much better than just having sex.

Depending on what kind of man he is or just what he wants at that time, me personally I like making love sex is so boring.

answering for my husband i would go with making love otherwise we wouldn't have been together this long. and in case someone is thinking it, he does not cheat on me - he would lose everything, including our son, if he did and i made that very clear to him from day one when we were dating almost 7 years ago now.

It depends on the partner and the mood. There is a time and place for everything.

Making love, of course.

Anything is better if it "means" something.
