Well, to tell you the truth I don't fully understand. Are you asking why don't people take your suicidal feelings seriously or why just in general are people able to find humor in suicide. If you are suicidal and tell someone and they don't get it, it's probably because they either don't understand how serious it is or they don't care, and nobody deserves to be alone when they're feeling that way. But if you want to know how can suicide be funny, well, everything has the potential to be funny given the right circumstances. For example a friend years ago told me if he ever committed suicide he was going to climb to the top of this huge flag pole downtown completely naked and duct tape himself up there, just so the fire department has to come to get him down, just to make the news. And I love my friend, and he does have real pain, but picturing his naked body duct taped to the top of a flag pole is fcking hilarious.

People probably think you are just trying to get attention and that IS NOT the case. Some people make a joke out of it because they don't know how to handle it themselves. It's very scary to someone who doesn't experience depression THOUGH they will never tell you.

Because they think that suicide is something only silly people do; that depression is easy to get out of; and that you can get out of it just by "pulling yourself together".
