All Saint's Day is always celebrated on November 1 and is a feast in which we honor all of those Saints in heaven. A lot of Saints have individual feast days, but All Saints Day is when we honor all of the saints in heaven.
All Saints day is followed on November 2 by All Souls Day, in which we pray for and have special rememberences of all of those who have left this life.

all saints day was adopted by the Christians to incorporate a pagan holiday
it was an Irish catholic celebration of the saints
and superstition had it that the veil between this world and the next was thinner as the saints came close to us ...
but it was also believed that in doing so , it may allow lesser spirit to come through also
this gives way to the Halloween we know today xx
halloween = all hallows eve

all the blessed in heaven, could be common people and saints proclaimed by the catholic church. Could be a loved one you've lost. Since they are in heaven we pay homage to them for being with God in heaven.....they made it. St. Robert Jaurigui, pray for us.
