Well, girl, you just told all of us, why can't you tell him? The correct answer is: I like you a lot and have for awhile, but I don't know if I love you. That doesn't mean you stop hanging out, that doesn't mean you are dishonoring his feelings, it means you are honoring your own feelings and that is the best way to try a relationship. Just take a deep breathe. It doesn't mean marriage, children, dirty diapers, cleaning house, mowing the lawn... He's just moved beyond the friendship stage. That is a good thing. Just accept it and ride the tide of young love. It may not happen again in many many years! Just enjoy him!

Be honest with him. Tell him that you are not sure yet. He should respect you for being honest. The word "love" is used too much these days. Many people use the word "love" when they should be using the word "like."

unless you love him back, you don't to tell him. even if you do love him, you don't have to tell him until you are ready. just tell him that you respect his feelings and that it is a very sweet thing to say. however, you don't feel comfortable telling him the same things right now. you want to make sure of your feelings.

tell him that you love him too. did you just take time to write this question? its not a big deal! loving someone doesn't mean you are going to spend the rest of your life together. it doesn't require ALL CAPITAL LETTERS.

Just tell him that you like him alot but your not sure if you love him yet. if he really does love you he'll understand and wait. then when you do feel ready and tell him you love him it will feel more special.

if thinking about it gets butterflies in your stomach then you really really love him and i think it will be apt of you to tell him if you do not intend on loosing him.
