[1] Muslims worship God and God alone. We do not believe in worshing Angel Gabriel,(Holy Ghost) or Jesus (Peace be upon him) ( A prophet who taught his followers to worship God alone)
Muslims believe.

[2] The whole Muslim religion govenance stems from two major things: Following the Quran, the last revelation from God, knowing Muhammad is the last messenger and following his example.

[3] What we believe in: Angels, Jinns, The Afterlife, Pass Revelations from God known and unknown, each human is responsible for their deeds: good deeds are rewarded, doer of bad deeds punished, God is not like anthing in Hevan and Earth,
The Quran comes straight from God, ALL the Prophets in Previous revelations,The Last Days, Judgment Day

[4] Our Duties: Attend Prayer on Friday, Pray at least five times a day at particlar times. Go to Mecca on Pilgramage at least once in a lifetime, seek knowledge and recite[study] the Quran and previous revelation [realizing that some orginal text may have been lost in bible with caution]

Where should you start:
1]First read the Quran daily. the major portion of Islam is getting guidance from the Quran. Its guidance will protect you from lies and unauthentic hadiths. When you read the Quran, you will understand Islam, God Willing and why we do certain things. Here is a link to an online Quran: http://www.masjidtucson.org/quran/frames/index.html
2]Next visit a mosque that follows the Quran. You should be attending Friday prayer, and they have classes on Sundays that will help you with prayer. 3] Let Allah guide you, seek knowledge,
read about the history of Prophet Muhammad and other prophets,
and learn about other things in general.

You are about to embarak on a life changing experience. Continue to seek guidance in your prayers.

Purification in Quran
5:6 O you who believe! When you intend to offer As-Salât (the prayer), wash your faces and your hands (forearms) up to the elbows, rub (by passing wet hands over) your heads, and (wash) your feet up to ankles. If you are in a state of Janâba (i.e. had a sexual discharge), purify yourself (bathe your whole body). But if you are ill or on a journey or any of you comes from answering the call of nature, or you have been in contact with women (i.e. sexual intercourse) and you find no water, then perform Tayammum with clean earth and rub therewith your faces and hands. Allâh does not want to place you in difficulty, but He wants to purify you, and to complete His Favour on you that you may be thankful.

9:108 .And Allâh loves those who make themselves clean and pure (i.e. who clean their private parts with dust [i.e. to be considered as soap) and water from urine and stools, after answering the call of nature].

2:222They ask you concerning menstruation. Say: that is an Adha (a harmful thing for a husband to have a sexual intercourse with his wife while she is having her menses), therefore keep away from women during menses and go not unto them till they have purified (from menses and have taken a bath). And when they have purified themselves, then go in unto them as Allâh has ordained for you (go in unto them in any manner as long as it is in their vagina). Truly, Allâh loves those who turn unto Him in repentance and loves those who purify themselves (by taking a bath and cleaning and washing thoroughly their private parts, bodies, for their prayers, etc.).

Islam is the religion of Abraham and all the prophets perfected and concluded by God. We have faith in the original bible, some of us read it, and we do not worship Jesus or believe he is the son of God. We do not believe in the trinty, and believe the Holy Ghost is Angel Gabriel and do not worship him either. We worship God alone and follow teh ways of the prophets. Islam comes from God and was named by God unlike other religions.

I am sorry that you are sincerely trying to find answers and ignorant people here have to say stupid things. Please try the links that were provided to you. I will answer you as best I can if you decide to email me. I am currently reading a book called Islam in Focus, and I really like it. I also read a book called Why I am a Muslim, written by a Pakistani woman, which I felt was very interesting.

Please don't let the ignorance or prejudice of others get in your way of learning about Islam.

Check out a Koran at the local library. That is what I did.

Later I purchased one at the Amazon.com. The Lord allows me to have one if I write bible verses next to anything in it that contradicts the Word of God. Like God doesn't beget or isn't begotten. God begot everyone. He even made us to have sexual desires to mate and have children. God knows how to beget. He created us to beget.

Koran is the basic book for the religion of Islam. There are additional writings of Mohammed, etc. and people will give you web sites to look up.
