How to go on a Spiritual journey...?

I want to go on a spirtual journey, learn about the lord etc
can anyone tell me how? or have any ideas?

this is a most excellent way to spend your energy. First read your Bible. Get a translation that speaks to you. Usually there are several at any book store. Go read some over. Check out the study Bibles as well and see if you like their method. This may take hours but they will be enjoyable like preparing for a trip. Then when you see one you like (be sure it has red letters for the words of Jesus cuz you are new), ask around and see if you can get a free one at a church or a cheap one on the net, unless you have lotsa money then pick it up. Latter you will want to pick up a copy of the Companion Bible with commentary by Bullenger.

Now read the red letters only first. Decide is this guy someone I would want for a friend or neighbor, or a king. If your answer is yes read those at least one more time alone. Then read the epistle to the EPHESIANS. Every thing about our position with God today is in that short book. Read each day for like a month and you will find that it begins to speak to you in ways you never thought possible. Then sit and do a little homework, out line it decide what the key message is and if there is perhaps one word used more than the others aside from prepositions.

You now have a pretty good foundation. You may be ready to say a sinners prayer in the one place you know you will be alone and if you have a power spot use that. I say do it alone cuz if you do it right then you will receive a lot of power and you do not want to do what some do and attribute that power to the people around you cuz it is truly just from God for you. Then you are ready for the whole Bible and even some commentaries and other christians. Check out some churches and find one with people who love you and begin to worship and hear differant points of view some of which will ring your bell, write those down and meditate on them. Once you are at this point Your Friend Jesus through the comforter will guide you on a daily basis.

Remember to repeat the power spot prayer every morning cuz it is an on goping process.

Seek the Lord your God with all your being. First one must realize one has sinned against God by rejection Jesus Christ. Person must confess to God, Jesus Christ Lord of their life (commitment) and believe in their heart (heart faith) that Jesus shed His blood for the remission of sins and believe in their heart the resurrection and they will be saved.

You can even voice out loud with the Bible in Hand, "The Lord God of this Holy Bible...". With heart faith comes spiritual rebirth. When spiritually born of God, can pray to God 24/7 any where. All your sins are washed away with His redeeming blood.

Then let the Spiritual journey begin. It is an everlasting Spiritual journey.

After Salvation, one must wash in the Word of God (bible). Renew the mind from lies with the Truth of God. Also the anointing received is (John 2:27) abides in you and you need not that anyone teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth and is not lie and even as it has taught you, ye shall abide in Him (Christ).

That doesn't mean to not go to church. It is also written to not forsake assemby with the Saints (Brothers / Sisters in faith). Of course that has to be a bible faith church with the Grace Foundation. Then when God convicts you of a sin (you will sin again) just confess your sins and He is faithful & just to forgive you your sins and cleanse you of all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Also, God will never leave you or forsake you. When God looks at you He sees the righteousness of Christ.

Take time out each day to read the Bible, a modern tranlation and daily notes may help, meditate on God's word and pray. Joining a church may help as mature christians should be able to guide you on your way. Keep seeking and you will find! Shalom.

fast and pray. Give up tv for a month and radio. Write in a journal, read the bible daily, meditate, and listen to your heart.

go to savior.org and just sit there and look at the Blessed Sacrament for awhile. It is Jesus there and you will feel his presence
