i haven't seen my ex in a year, and then he started looking for me again. i kept trying to see him, and he kept saying he had other plans, so eventually i sent him this nasty email telling him to forget it, because im tired of what he put me through before and hed probably do it again. so he calls and says hes sorry and that he loves me. i love him too, but i dont want to go through the same thing again. What should i do? see him again or not? my dad completely hates him, and doesn't want me with him, mainly because of our age difference.
BTW: im 17, hes 22

It should tell you something that he didn't want anything to do with until you told him to forget it. Some people just want to keep you hanging on just in case.In case they need a booty call or they need something. Maybe he just liked the idea of you coming after him and when you stopped he wanted to say he was sorry so you would chase him again. I dont think the age difference is that big of a deal. He is just a jerk and you need to move on with your life. Find someone who will respect you.

If you have to ask yourself, and others here, if you should or shouldn't go out with a guy, I think the answer is already clear in your head. Don't listen to your heart this time.
Imagine if a nice guy asked you out - you should be like "YAY!" Remember the yay. Anything less than that, don't do it.
