I have a cat that does this too. I had tests run and the vet found nothing. The only thing we determined was that he was extremely food sensitive. We finally found a cat food that he doesn't throw up, even if it isn't the greatest. He can only eat regular Purina (the blue bag). We tried everything else, even science diet specially formulated for sensitive stomachs. Try gradually changing his food to a new kind.

Fur balls...very common in cats. They throw up a lot, it seems. The thing about cats is that when they start to gag, they tend to panic more than necessary and just make it worse for themselves. Sometimes it helps to give them a teaspoon of vegetable oil once a week or get something from the pet store that is specifically for this.

I am a vet tech, sounds to me like hair balls, which are common, especially durring the season changes, when the they shed or grow new hair the most. The best solution would be to get those hair ball treats (at any local pet store) and invest in some good kitty food that is easier on the digestive system, and some foods are made with hair ball treatment in it allready.

Try giving him some laxatone - you can find it in the pet section of Wal Mart or Target. It is a hairball remedy that helps the cat process the hair through their system better. If you haven't had your cat treated for worms in over a year then you should take a stool sample and the cat to the vets.

Cat's need Grass also, licking hair gets into the cat causing it to get sick, they can't eat just any kind of grass it has to be the soft kind and make sure it has not been sprayed with pest Defense.are you could go to the pet store to buy grass, see if this helps if not then take it to the vet.

Fur balls do this sometimes to cats you can get food now that has medicine in it for fur balls. If it keeps doing it I would contact my vet. for a check up to make sure nothing else is going on with your cat.

I know that dogs sometimes eat grass, but it makes them throw up. Maybe the same goes for cats? Either way, I'd check with you're vet, there could be some minor problem. Or, it could just be he's just grooming himself a lot.

He might have a parasite. You should get him to the vet. Repeated regurgitation is not good, even if "only once a week". That's too much.
