1) No. People should always be honest about what and who they are, and how they feel. Being "in the closet" is a "dumbed down" term for "living a lie".
2) Fundamentalists never owned America, or ran it either. The second clause of your question is therefore impossible.
3) FYI, I don't think you are either gay or a "fundamentalist". IMHO, you are somebody just trying to stir up some debate and perhaps some heated discussion. Am I right?

Give America back to fundamentalists? Like whom? The founding fathers weren't fundies. In fact, most of the signers of the Constitution were deists or atheists. So to whom would you be giving the country back, if I might ask? People like you, the narrow-minded homophobes who refuse to accept a person's valid life choice? With that logic, perhaps we should disallow all freedom of religion and give America back to the English. Perhaps we should kick out all the non-christians, too, would that work for you?

I think lots of civil rights people defeat their purpose by claiming to want rights they already have. When what they really want is special privilege.
The right to say what they want, and everybody else has to shut up.
They will never get acceptance from everyone, or respect if they keep shoving it in other peoples faces.
They should be happy with what they have achieved, but are not
satisfied, and ultimately will set themselves BACK with their
actions.

Leave the gays alone, let them get married. they deserve to be as miserable as the rest of us. Besides, they don't breed like rutting weasel immigrants from Cathoholic countries.
