Well renault used this engine(F7R) in the williams clio (150bhp) and a very similar engine in the clio 172/182. The diffrence is the cams, inlet and exaust manafold/ exaust system and ecu mapping. Some companys will tune the 182 clios to up 240 bhp N/A by useing very agressive cams a heavy fuel map, uprated exuast/ inlet manafolds and a head port and polish. This sort of tuning will increase your high end bhp but make for a jumpy low speed ride due to a very high throttel responce. But the cost can be very high(2-3k). Turbo coversion can be done on this engine but will cause hot running, coolant pipes and systems must be upgraded as they can be a common fault on a standard engine. Please please please decide which route to take and stick with it if you upgrade manafolds and ecu first then decide to turbocharge the origanal tuning may well be useless! Which could be a big waist of money! Your car being the top end 2l coupe will have good enuff suspention and chassis to cope but not enuff to take full advantage of the extra power. Renualt brakes could be better. Rember, tuning incresses stress on engines so more regular oil changes are a must! Also HT coils tend to go on this engine and head gasket from time to time, ensure you replace them with high qualty upgrades to stop any premature heart ache on a highly tuned car. Check out bb performance tuning (renualt specalists). Good luck tunining

I think it can handle up to 200 or 220 bhp safely without major modification on chassis and suspensions. But beware of the engine itself, it should be fresh enough to be boosted, otherwise you will quickly ruin the pistons and/or the valves.
My advice is to keep the car as delivered by Renault.

Speedos are costly whilst they could desire to replaced. For a Polo with classic instruments and a small digital exhibit, the fee is variety of six hundred-800€. For a Renault Scenic with in simple terms a large one color exhibit (without navigation device), the fee alongside with installation grew to become into around 1200 to 1300€. we've in simple terms had to pay 900€.
