is a form of therapy? I think it is, because in a way helping others is helping yourself. Anyone else feel the same way?

I do feel that way fir sure. I am not the smartest person in the world but I have definitely lived "life' with a lot of bad. For me, helping someone, even if nothing more than a cyber hug, kind words of advice makes me feel good about myself. I don't try to boost my ego by no means. Focusing on someone else's concerns is very therapeutic for me in many many ways. It's also a way to talk about your own life's tragedies but in a positive way, unlike when I am alone thinking. It's all so negative. That's why I try not to ask questions, but answer instead. If I started asking for advice, It would be never ending. This way, I am learning a lot about myself and the road life's taken me down.
"The quieter I am, the more I hear."
Answering questions for others has been answers for myself.
Great Question and thanks for letting me share.

I am not sure most people are here to help others. I think it's a forum to air your opinions more than it is to help people, although sometimes you can get some helpful information here. I'm not much into the therapy analogy.

I'm not a psychologist but i agree 100% that answers is a very therapeutic manner in which to not only vent but help people analyze their problems more thoroughly, and likewise gives the one providing their view or correct answer a sincere feeling of giving back, positively to our community at large.

I signed onto this site for help on things that I can't get over. Some answers I get are very nice, others are rude as hell. I feel that if someone has a question that is serious and post's it on this site, then their asking for help.

No no longer truly. you mustn't take issues so heavily in this type. i replaced into style of like that interior the commencing up, yet then I in basic terms replaced my approach. Now I snort at all of the questions that go like "AMMA BLACK!! and AMMA LOUD!" and "Why are black females so grotesque?" it is pointless to get indignant over stupid people who rant while they're at the back of a working laptop or pc. they're cowards who use their desktops as shields.

Agreed! I've received many messages from people who felt information I gave them helped. Nice feeling! Of course I've also received a few messages from nut cases and cyberstalkers. Oh well, I guess their giving me the opportunity to help them realize their problems too.

I sure do. Maybe that is why it is so addictive. I have over 13,000 points, and I'm not bored yet.
