The headache is usually caused by either blocked sinuses or catarrh. So get some menthol crystals and drop a minute amount into a bowl of boiling hot water, stick a towel over your head and inhale the fumes. Make sure you close your eyes though because it makes them water. If this doesn't help, the get some Sudafed tablets for congestion, or even the sudafed nasal spray, it's brilliant. Hope you feel better soon.

A few drops of Olbas oil or vicks, or a bit of radion b pain relief spray on a scarf which has been warmd on radiator or heater. Just place over your forehead. If your too hot, keep a damp flannel in the fridge, hold it at the back of your neck. This will instantly cool you down.

Find out from your gp first to see if you can take CO Codamol. It is a very good pain killer, it has 500mg paracetamol and either 8 or 30 mg of codine as well, it is very effective but you will have to get your gp to prescribe them as codine is on prescription only.
Good luck Jimmy Essex UK

I'd try self-massage around the temples and over the eyebrows, relaxing in a dimly lit room and paracetamol.

I use Mentholatum (like Vick's vapor rub) on the temples and behind the ears. Not sure why it helps, but it does for me!
