God will decide not I or anyone on here

I'm surprised by the number of answers here that refer to Christians telling gays that God hates them. I don't know any Christian that says that! I'm sure there is a vocal group that does say such a thing, but they are a minority.

The concept that all Christians hate gays and claim that God hates gays is frankly a lie, and it's promoted by gay activists with the intent of painting Christians as venomous or ignorant or some such. They wish to defeat the message, but not by reason; only by attacking the character of the messenger.

To your question: "If I AM gay..." is misleading. A person can have homosexual attraction, and they can act out by performing gay acts. The two are not necessarily the same. The attraction is a temptation, but it is not necessary to act on it. If you choose to act on it, then that action is a sin (Bible reference listed by many other answerers).

But will YOU go to heaven? That decision isn't made until your time on earth is done. Rather than more "no,no,no!" from the Bible, allow me to point out the wonderful hope written in 1 Cor. 6:9-11. No one participating in those sins can enter Heaven, "...BUT ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus...."

That's a big BUT. Paul was writing to heaven-bound Christians. But homosexuality was in their past, not current. Read the next verse, 1 Cor. 6:12. You may be _capable_ of homosexual acts, and it may be _legal_, but that doesn't mean it's right for you.

Just because you're gay doesn't mean that God doesn't love you... It's society that's trying to convince you that being gay is wrong.... So my belief is that yes you'll go to heaven....

God loves you for you for the complete picture.... Just because you love someone of the same sex it isn't wrong.... And for anyone to say otherwise they just don't understand anything.... It's just the majority of people are straight... If you think of years gone by when Women had to struggle to be equal, in time I think gays will be excepted more and more.... So stop worrying and live your life to how you want to live it and not what is preached to you....

I'm not religious, nor am I gay I just think religion has a lot to answer for.... So what I believe is that it's upto you and what you believe... Whatever religion it's down to belief, whether or not there's a god or a heaven, it's down to each individuals belief....

Believing in God won't get you to heaven. Surverys show the vast majority of the population believes in God(of some kind anyway). According to the bible, the only way to enter the kigdom of heaven is to know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, to ask for forgivness of your sins, and have faith that they are forgiven.
While being gay is something the bible definitly speaks out against, it won't exclude anyone from getting into heaven anymore than stealing a cookie from your sister will. Sin is sin.

First of all, I don't think it's anyone's place on this earth to tell you so seriously that you will go to hell. It may have been that the whole anti-homosexual thing sprang from fear due to lack of understanding in the olden days. When humans notice differences or do not understand something, they tend to shun it. Therefore people were told they would go to hell if they were gay.

Personally, I believe it is purely God's decision. Trust in him, and live your life the best way you can. Be true to who you are- God made you the way you are for a reason.

it is not for any person to say who enters Paradise or the Fire of Hell. But when a person states that they "believe", then they are required to understand what is required to be accepted as a believer. And since it's God Alone, Who, gave the criterion for anyone who states that they "believe". Then that becomes the "proof", that will present itself on the Great Day when all will be assembled for Judgment.

The Bible is highly misunderstood, mainly due to the individual interpretations of various verses. I believe that marriage in itself is solely for a man and a woman, and that such a relationship cannot be misconstrued for unisexual relationships. However, I do not know what you mean solely by "gay", as in what you think and feel concerning others. For anyone, looking upon someone in any way lustful is a sin according to the Bible, as I am sure you know. If that is not you, I do not see why you fully following God and trusting in Jesus would not give you complete forgiveness of your sins (as man is born sinful), but I cannot say for certain as it was not directly addressed in the Bible.

Even satan believes in God, and he is not going to heaven. You are not living according to the word of God, and are not obeying it, so the answer is no.

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Notice the part that says "but he that does the will of my Father" LIving a homosexual lifestyle is not the will of God.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Well as a believer of God, hopefully you read the bible. In there you will find that God says that a man should never have sex with another man. Maybe you should pray about it and get professional help. It doesn't necessarily mean you're not going to heaven if you ask for God's help and acknowledge that it isn't right.

It takes more than a belief in God to go to heaven, you must believe in "The Way" (being Christ). Those who believe show their belief through their obedience to God.
Will you go to heaven? Man can't say...only God knows!

If you believe in God and your gay, aren't you contradicting God himself by being gay? I understand God himself made you gay, but isn't up to you to repress the urge to no be gay?
