i think on mentally retarded people become hindus , christians, muslims, sikhs etc.a real intelligent person will try to be spiritually enlightened i. e. he or she will try to be like mohamad saheb, jesus,all the ten great gurus of punjab -india,budha and mahaveer etc. am i right or wrong?please do add some of your views while answering.

Part of 'Enlightment' is acceptance. Not agreement, but acceptance. Using foul terminology such as 'retarded' (which I would find very offensive if I was mentally handicapped is not the road I would choose.) I am speaking from the experience of having used this same word (to my own deficit) as you have just now.
I would say that Christians, Muslims, etc all have a 'Way' that they were introduced too at birth and have stayed with...or have converted to...all because it 'feels right' to them. This is good. And although diversity in religious belief systems can be frustrating it also can be beautiful. And the acceptance of these diversities can bring you one step closer on your path to Enlightenment.

I pray for you and I pray that in your lifetime you never have a retarded child of your own. maybe then you will understand that what comments you make about "retarded" people is ungodly not to mention unheartful to those who have children who are retarded. Such language is wrong in anybody's book. But to point the finger at Christians is also wrong. The bible says you will know them by their fruit. If they do not bear good fruit, they certainly are not Christian. Therefore no Christian calls another by such degrading names.

I strongly disagree. People's intelligence has very little to do with their beliefs. As an unbeliever, I've seen many fellow unbelievers who are really stupid. And I've admired (and still do) many true religious people.
