Actually a couple months isn't long enough to be a significant other or know if you love the person. I would say I like you and enjoy being with you ,but never love you until I am sure.

No, it that just means you like them and there is hope that it might turn into love, if you really love them than tell them that you love them, but if you don't but you like them a lot then i like you comes into play.

try, "i like you", if reaction is good, complete the sentence with "very much"

My self i believe that you should be straight with that kind of thing,because people play games with that to get what they want.If you can`t tell in what they do then asking isn`t going to tell you anything,is it.
