I hope you're planning a special day with her. If she sees that you've taken the time to plan things that you enjoy together, this will go a long way in making this a special day. This is definitely NOT the day where you tell her that she's got to make all the arrangements.

As far as a present, perhaps a bracelet or a necklace that she can easily wear every day. Something nice, but not so fancy that she could only wear it to special occasions. Having something to fondle or just feel against your skin is a wonderful way to remind her every day how special she is to you.

If you have been going out with her for a year, i think it should be something nice and special. Like a necklace, a braclet, or maybe even a promise ring. um...if its not that serious between you two yet, then I would recomend making a scrap book of pictures of the two of you. GOOD Luck!

Get her numerous cheap but cute stuffed animals and pile them in a basket and put flowers or one in the basket and a piece of jewelry in it's case in one of the animals arms. It will be cute and thoughtful, a cute card wouldn't hurt then go out to eat. A place where you can slow dance would be good. If you don't leave near anything like that then go someplace just fun...like a first date place.

I'm not a girl, but I would take her to a really nice restaurant and give her a red rose. Make sure she feel really special, open the doors for her, etc.

Without knowing your girlfriend it's really hard to give advice as to what to give her.

A necklace or a bracelet tasteful but not horribly expensive.
