Although it is possible for men to get yeast infections, it's not very common. More often, men harbor yeast in their urethra (the canal through which urine passes in the penis), and transmit infections to women. They rarely notice any symptoms but some men have some penile itching or burning during urination. Men can also get a yeast infection around the outside of the penis which is red, scaly, and itches. In uncircumcised men, yeast infections can occur under the foreskin around the head of the penis and can actually lead to inflammation and the inability to retract the foreskin known as balanoposthitis.
If you need to treat a yeast infection, use anti-fungal medicines, including over-the-counter creams and prescription oral medication. Abstaining from sex (vaginal and oral) during a yeast infection is the only sure way to prevent re-infection

Yes a man can catch a yeast infection through unprotected sex, though it's not very common. It's easier for a woman to catch it from a guy than the other way around. Even if a man were to catch it, it's not a terrible STD, it's very easy to get rid of, it just doesn't look too nice and itches a whole lot. Use protection if you're worried!

Yes, men can catch it. My 2 yr. old did, and he certainly wasn't engaging in any sexual activities!!
In men it is most often caused in the genitals rather similarly to how yeast infections are caused on the feet (i.e., athlete's foot). Lots of really warm moist conditions. In my son's case, prolonged wet diaper exposure during a long car trip.
This is due to the presence of yeast and other miscellaneous organisms naturally present on your skin. Treatment is simple with over the counter medications normally advertised for athlete's foot or jock itch. Apply ointment for several days past the symptoms disappearing, to assure the yeast is really gone. Keeping the penis clean and dry is a must for treatment. Try to avoid engaging in activities where you would get hot and sweaty without a break (i.e. sports). Refraining from sexual activity would certainly be a polite consideration to your partner.
Contact your physician with more specific questions.

Many of contageous diseases and transmitted from female into male after a sexual intercourse BUT many of those do not manifest signs and symptoms that will be considered too mild in males.... but the same bacteria types can lead into dangerious infections.. Yeast infection is transmitted into male but with very minor, neglictable symptoms that do not prompt medication.

Yeast infections are not an STD per se. Candida can be found on many peoples skin without causing infection.

yes, guys can get yeast infections. If you have itching, burning, redness around your penis, try applying the same antifungal ointments that girls use to clear it up. You must use it for several days after the visible signs of infection are gone to kill all the germs. Drink plenty of fluids, especially acidic ones like cranberry juice. Keep your penis clean and dry. Don't forget to clean under the foreskin.

Well, yes you can. However, we all have yeast spores on our bodies all of the time like we have staph bacteria. I would suggest you see a doc and eat yogurt. It has a bacteria that will keep the multiplication of the yeast in check. Godloveya.

absolutely... the infection, if not treated, can be passed back and forth, even thought the guy has no symptoms.
