Those who are going to claim that it is because of population growth are ignorant, because they should just look at the number of Americans who become Muslims every year, which is on the rise after 9/11 (because Americans read the Qur'an).

Those who say that its because Muslim countries don't accomodate other faiths are also ignorant, if muslis had done so in the past there would be no Coptic (Arabic speaking) Christians in the middle east who pronounce God as Allah. In the present age, Egypt has got coptic christians as well as other muslims countries in the middle east.

tahunajcw, if all religious scriptures were destroyed , Islam would rise again tomorrow by this time, because more than 13 million muslims know the Qur'an by heart, which is the prime source of guidance for all muslims and the rest of mankind. This is one of the biggest miracles, only if one would think.

Dee, you stepped on your own foot. I would be very glad to consider the number of people leaving Islam relative to the number of people leaving Christianity. MOST importantly, I would like you to see that who among the above becomes more aware of morality and ethics.

Do a survey, and see if christians who become muslims are better in manners and morals than muslims who leave islam. The answer is waiting for you.

u know what, i think the secret of Islam is that every single detail is based on facts, science and humanity.
Muslims have the ability and the willingness to have very long conversations to analyze Islam aspects and rules and to convince one another with the right thing.
its obvious how non-Muslims here are just being offensive, because they have no proof of their claims. isnt it sad?

Many of the converts, especially in Africa must choose between converting to Islam or die or be enslaved. SO...most choose to live.

Also many Muslims consider the fact that people are looking into Islam as a sign that they are converting and that isn't true.

Now why not talk about the Muslims who are leaving Islam, there are some coming to their senses and leaving the religion, not on the same scale as those who are looking into it or converting but there are those who are leaving.

I've never said that Islam is a deceptive and false religion. But it's still a religion like any other and that means that people are parroting. They repeat each others words, and do not think about them. I respect the Islam in that way that the five pillars do help people to think about their morality, and of other people and how to be good to them. The friends I have who are muslim consciously choose to do this and it helps them to see the things they need to see. I welcome that.
But in my opinion every religion has the danger of people repeating each others words without thinking of them. And every religion has the danger of saying: this man is good and should live and this man is bad and should die. People should be judged by their acts towards other men, not by the faith behind those acts.

I like a critical analysis of ancient texts. See them in their context, find out the true meaning, not the literal meaning in them. And let there be debate about this, not mindless repeating of what's been said before. A religion should develop itself. Not in numbers, but in wisdom. I hope you'll agree with me on that. If Islam develops that way, then I wish you the best of luck.

ok first of all, i in my view think of you need to get your info top. Islam is a faith of Peace. it is significant perception is that there is in basic terms one God, and Muhammad is definitely one of his messengers/prophets. Now, you would be able to pay attention of a majority of those terrorists and extremists that are Muslim and reason violence and whatnot. yet that's no longer the authentic meaning of Islam. in basic terms like all of the undesirable Christians do no longer signify Christianity (such via fact the ku klux klan), all of the undesirable Muslims do no longer signify Islam. human beings convert to Islam via fact they experience a feeling of being nearer to God. They experience as though Christianity is in basic terms a humorous tale to them. i'm getting those claims from actual converts that i understand of with the help of ways. females get as lots rights as adult males do. Now of course, its very frustrating to describe via fact of what human beings see on the media. yet in order that which you already know, interior the Quran, it says that females are in basic terms as considerable as the different guy! and could be taken care of with appreciate! So there you go, for this reason Islam is the quickest turning out to be faith! wish you will come to it sooner or later :)

The reason ANY religion grows is because it appeals to the fear and insecurity that uneducated people tend to feel.

Everyone knows that life is fleeting. Most people fear death. Therefore, they look for someone or something to comfort them and make them feel that life will continue even after death.

This fear is powerful. If all religions and all "Holy" documents suddenly disappeared everywhere in the world, new religions would crop up by this time tomorrow in order to mollify the masses.

I don't think God would belong to any religion because He/She/It is unafraid of death.

the number of conversions in any religion does not indicate it is a true religion.... withcraft is on the increase also.....in contrast, so is christianity in the increase.....most of your converts in USA come from the poor black group, who don't know much...or have hate issues with white people. In other countries, islam is forced on people or introduced to people who are antchristian, due other hate propaganda, some of which comes from muslims.

arab oil pays for CNN... and most media is inclined to go in the liberal direction, which means it will proclaim anything, whether it is true or not...

still growth trends do not indicate someone's religion is true. Actually according to the bible, the world is predicted to get darker in spirit by embracing the wrong spiritual views. When Jesus returns, he will remove the christians before the battle of armageddon, so they will not get hurt. He is not doing that for the muslims.

in my view, the only reason islam is successful is because the catholic church messed up its theology and gave credibility to complaints about doctrine. But the prostestant reformation corrected this. Real christians do not worship Mary, do not consider her god, and they understand the true divine nature of jesus enought to explain it to others, and not cause confusion. True christians believe in only one god, who is the father God. Jesus is the spirit son of god, and it says so dozens of times in the bible, which is not corrupt, but true to its origins. The sonship of Jesus has nothing to do with Mary. Jesus was the son of God before he ever had a miracle birth through Mary.
