very easy. There are two ways.

1. buy a 12 volt converter and plug your playstation into it

2. take apart your playstation and follow the 110 volt cord that goes into your playstion onto a small circuit board and remove the circuit board but not after you note which wires are positive and negative that are coming OUT of that small circuit board. That circuit board is a 12 volt converter. You don't need it because your car is 12 volts. Just hook up +\- from your cigerette lighter or radio wires (whatever is controled by your ignition) to your playstion wires and presto you have power.

the audio can be done a few ways

fm modulated which is achieved by intercepting your antenna connection through a modulator box and connects to the audio to your playstation

or

If you have a radio with audio input like on high end aftermarket decks you can directly connect the audio wire to your deck.

If you have a pioneer aftermarket deck pioneer sells a cdrb10 for about 35 dollars and utilizes the cd changer controls to become audio inputs

if you have a stock stereo fm modulated is the only way to go

have fun

You need a power inverter to convert the 12volts DC that your car produces to 120volts AC, like whats in your house. You also need audio and video cables to run the audio and video lines. Now the video can just go right to the flip down. If you are using headphones for the sound you run the audio to the input that feeds the headphones. If you want the audio to come from the radio (so you can hear it through out the car.) Use an FM modulator If your radio doesn't have auxiliary inputs. An FM modulator basically tricks your radio to think its a radio station and feeds the signal to the radio like a radio station. If your feeding audio to both headphones and the radio, you need y-adapters to split your audio signal. Also make sure you secure the PS2 and its not jammed in the glove box so it can breath. This will avoid overheating.

You are going to need a power inverter to start off. The monitor should have came with inputs if not you are going to have to run it through a modulator. To get the sound through your stereo you will have to split the cables coming off the back of the PS2 and take the audio one(Red plug) to the input of the cd player. Fairly simple install though. I would recommend wireless controllers also. Hope this helps
