There is a great restaurant on 57th St + 6th Ave called Rue 57. It is an upscale restaurant, but not super fancy. (It has mood lighting and music, but no place to dance.) The price range is about $50-$80 a person and it is a mix of French and Japanese cuisine. Example: fitlet mignon, french onion soup, wasabi whipped mashed potatos, anything from the in house sushi bar.

The nice thing about this place is that it is 2 blocks from the south east entrance to the park. Before/after dinner you can go ice skating and/or take a horse drawn carrage around the park as these are right near the south east entrance.

Try Little Italy or Chinatown..both within walking proximity. Little Italy is on Mulberry st. Everything in NY is pricey but that should be most reasonable. If you want a real nice, romantic place,I personally love the Marriot Marquis (hotel in theater district/times square.) If dinner is too pricey,go for drinks. The bar and restaurant revolve, the room is all windows..get the picture? What a fabulous view of NYC,especially at sunset. Not a bad seat anywhere in the room!

make your reservations well in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
rent a limousine for the night!!!!!!!!!!!!
before dinner have a cocktail in The Sherry Netherlands's Piano Bar!

after dinner take a carriage ride around Central Park!

then go to Little Italy for some Italian Pastry at Ferrara's!
then have your limo driver take you through Time Square to see the lights. Then drive through the city!
ask your driver to take you to a romantic bar or two with some mood music!
enjoy!

Take her to River Cafe in Brooklyn. There's an amazing view of lower Manhattan across the East River, and at night it's even more spectacular. Then, take her for an evening stroll across the Brooklyn Bridge. Have someone take your picture while you're up there, then surprise her with a framed copy of the picture. Good luck!

Make her a incredible dinner for two. Soft John Tesh music(very romantic) candles. Then prepare a warm bubble bath and then, and then sing to her... remember how romantic Adam Sandler was in the wedding singer when he sang to Julia? She will love it.
OPPS roses on the table too
