Yes it's good to be an organ donor. All things must be done wisdom and order as King Benjamin teaches in the book of Mosiah. Read the October New Era or Ensign, there's an article about a girl, whose life was saved because of donated lungs. a man from her ward gave some of his lungs to her after much praying, fasting and having a consent from his wife. You can read the Ensign, new Era or other church publications from www.lds.org
I know they are inspired and answers our prayers

By the way, I'm glad to hear that you know the church is true and I admire your desire and courage to join God's church. You're still young and your mother is your guardian at the moment. She can tell you where to go to church etc for now, but your immortal spirit is free to believe in your Heavenly Father, who created you and you have the right to join His kingdom. Just keep reading the scriptures, praying for your mother that her heart might be softened soon enough. You are very brave and faithful, Keep up the good work. I'm not sure if I could do the same thing when I was 14. I'm the only member in my family as well. but I'm 22 haha, joined the church when I was 18. My family tested my conviction first then now they support me because they can see it's not something bad. hopefully they won't be that opposed when I tell them I wanna go on a mission ;-p I'll pray for you Megan.

I am LDS - we view it as a personal choice. If you want to, you can, if you don't, you don't have to.
I myself am an organ donor and many LDS that I know are also. I feel it is appropriate if it will save a life!

It's a personal choice however, if you are married, it's best to consult with your spouse that you both agree, if you were sealed in the temple; out of respect for your partner.
