I have asked questions on several screen names about God, his message, his existance, I have many time encountered so many
people trying to convert me into their religion so that I won't burn in hell. I am sorry but I do not think God's message was supposed to be of FEAR but LOVE.So why so many Christians and people of ISLAMIC faith keep giving this distorted message? I believe there is a God and I behave trying to be the best human being I can just becasue I do not have the same set of believes that some religion wants to impose to me I should burn in hell? It just makes no sense.

Perfect love casts out fear according to the Bible.

We distort the message if we call unbelievers to fear God first. The good news is that God provided a way for us back to the garden because He loves us.
We have one short lifetime to respond to this great message.
No one shall have authority to stand before God by their claim that they were "better than most". He requires perfection, provided through His son, -no other way.

The God I believe in is All-Loving. Period.

Fear? That is something men came up with before they understood Nature.
Now we have a scientific explanation for what is happening to our weather and our planet.

If I fear someone, I don't respect or love him, I just fear him.
The same thing applies to God. I do love and respect Him, but I don't fear Him. I don't have to, because out of my love and respect for Him, I live my life the way He wants me to.

Hi!

As a Christian, I probably have very different views of God's message than other Christians... but here it is...

I believe that God is a God of Love and a God of Wrath...

He is a God of Love because he sent his only son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for the sins of the world so that all who believe in Him would have a wonderful afterlife in Heaven rather than suffer the fires of hell because we weren't good enough to enter heaven and be in God's presence.

However, God is also the God of Wrath. When He is totally ticked off, His anger can send fire from the skies and flood the earth in water. Look what He did to the Egyptians in the time of Moses... Look at Sodom and Gamorrah... he even turned Lot's wife into a pillar of salt just because she turned around to look at the burning cities when God specifically told them not to...

God is like a father. When you do good things, he rewards you. When you are bad, he punishes you. God does loves you... but don't think just because he is a God of Love (who loves all His children) that he won't condemn you into an eternity in Hell if you don't do what He tells you.

So should you fear God because of that? It depends on your outlook. Do you fear the police because they could put you in jail? Or do you see them as protectors of the innocent? If you are guilty of doing things wrong, then the police are something to be feared...

And is the goverment's message one of fear because they have laws and will punish you if you don't abide by the laws?

God knows we are not perfect. God knows we are going to do things wrong. All He wants is for us to try to be the best we can be, to try to follow the simple rules He has laid out for us... (really, is it too much to ask for people not to steal or murder their fellow man?) He wants us to ask for forgivness when we do wrong, and more importantly, to believe in Him and his Word.

I don't try to convert people, but I am a seed planter. So here is what I am going to try to plant in you. Read for yourself what God is trying to tell you. Go to the library and get some books, including the Bible- Get a Children's NIV Bible... it is so easy to read and the message is the same. See what God is trying to tell you. If you need guidance or have questions, go to a church. Don't go to just one kind, go to different ones and find a church that suits you. There are many out there (Baptist, Pentacostal, Catholic, Lutheran, etc.) If none of them work for you, just keep reading. Sooner or later, God will convict you to do what He wants you to do.

Remember, all sins are forgiven. God is merciful in that way. But you have to ask for the forgivness. You have to believe in Him and his son... and you have to have faith. That is more important than anything...

Hope this helps...
Best Wishes...
T.

The Lord's message is supposed to be a love message. God loves you no matter who you are and no matter what you did. All you need is to accept that Jesus is the son of God and the he was offered in sacrifice on behalf of our sins. Ask forgiveness of all your sins and invite Jesus to be part of your life. Go to a good bible based church and grow in your faith. That's all you need.

No. He is a God of love.
I don't know why they do that, it is not the right thing to do
Stay in the love walk and don't worry about what others think.
Your set of values are yours God will show you what you need to know. And no you will not go to hell, because you love him and have accepted him

God's message was never fear nor hatred...It's just some people who show this, and most of the times it's by accident...~Fanatics

I think GOD'S message is clear about FEAR,,,that HE created this world, but because of the evil in it...He will also destroy it and all the evil within. And when things happen here on earth who do we cry out to but our GOD?
