You should start weaning them when they are 6-8 weeks old.

How to do it:

Make the kitten milk as usual. Take some Kitten Chow - must be Kitten formula to give them the nutrients they need - and crunch it up into even smaller pieces. Add Kitten milk and let it soak into kitten chow so it is soft and mushy.

Every few days, make the food less and less mushy, until they are just eating kitten chow.

You're kittens are now weaned!

Baby cereal? Don't give them that! Buy some special catfood for weaning kittens. Don't take them off the milk straightaway. Instead, offer them some of the food each time they feed. Don't worry if they don't take the food straightaway, I had kittens and it took me a while. When they start to eat make sure they still have some milk. Then give them less and less milk untill their totally off it.

I believe you mean "wean" them off kitten's milk....
....that is not a baby, so baby cereal is for humans,...and a good vet, or petco or petmart has just the kitten chow for you , and they will tell you how old.....

....most important if there's one near you (or not then go online), you can bring the kitten with you....but it must be in the carrier because there are dogs there and your kitten would be in trouble if it got away from you and was very scared.

You can mix kitten milk with baby food, preferably chicken and give it to them to wean them off milk and add crushed kitten food. Or you can mix kitten milk with crushed up dry kitten food and see if they eat that. If they dont like that you can mix canned kitten food with kitten milk. I wouldnt give them baby cereal though. Also make sure you always have a bowl of fresh water nearby. And keep pottying them until they learn to go by themselves.

I don't know about all this crap people are telling you. When I found my cat, he could not even drink by himself properly. I got one of those rubber ear dropper things and mixed half carnation cream and half water and gave him that until he was old enough to eat soft kitten food. After a while as he got bigger, I just started giving him $2 Alley Cat cat food. He loved it. I had that cat for ever. He was the best cat I ever had.

i wouldnt take them off of the moms milk until the mom is ready to do so. if you are feeding them yourself without the mom kitty, then move them to soft food, u dont want to change them on to much stuff because it upsets their stomach. just go from kitten milk to soft cat food, to hard
