I am in 7th grade and my bf is in 8th grade. He is very sweet, and considerate, but very shy.
Last night he came over for the 1st itme. We watched a movie (sat 3 inches apart) and talked. He mentioned that his mom invited me over today. I didn't really think he was serious, but when he was leaving he says "So do you think you can come over tomorrow?" right in front of his dad and mine. I told him 2 call me today. Well.......it's almost 3 pm, and he hasn't called or emailed. I am not going to call him b/c it would sound desperate or something. Do you think he was serious? What should I do?

I called a lot yesterday trying to make plans for yesterday. I talked to his mom a few times and some of the things she phrased made me sound a little desperate......

It's okay to call him. You said he was shy, maybe you said something in a way that caught him off guard or something.
Look, life is too short. Even at your age, if you want something go after it. If it wasn't meant to be, no harm done and you won't waste time "wondering" what the other person is thinking.
You said you like this guy? I'll bet he likes you too. Now go for it! Give him a call. Right now! Don't wait!

Just call him up and ask him, don't be shy and don't feel like you are sounding desperate, just say something funny like, hey, did you forget about me? If you feel too shy to say that, then wait and see, but it feels worse to be stood up with no explanation, better that you call and find out something came up, so you don't waste your whole day waiting on a call that won't come.

Call him... i bet he thought you were going to let him know and he is probably just as hurt that you have not called! The phone rings on both ends and no it does not sound desperate.... it could be a thing of miscommunication girl.. Call him!

He might of forgot to call you,or he isn't going to call u till later to watch another movie or hang out. Most people call about 5-7pm to ask for a date,so probably for a few dates it will be the same. Good Luck-
