If you haven't had "your say" and told him that the gossip was not true it would help to get that off your chest. Some guys say bad things to get the girl for themselves.
Once you've had "closure" you should get on with your life, look into what you will do at university: what the town has to offer, what other things to do after school. You could research this on line and have a great time planning and looking forward to your future. Forget about the past.

Look I'm a man who is 23 and I say that it is really hard to lose someone you really love and like but you can't let that hold you down; and it maybe true that you wont find anyone else like him ever and if you do it will be a much better person than the last "believe it" . Right now you got to be concerned about yourself and what your doing right now and it might not be level at this time but it will all work out.

why don't you send him a card at Christmas time and write a note inside. Let him know that you are doing ok and it's a shame that your relationship ended because of things you didn't do and a cousin who said so many lies. tell him you would like to keep in contact with him and that you going to a university ouside the country next year and perhaps he can give you his email so you can let him know how it is, and if he would like to talk to you sooner, that you hope he has kept your phone number to call you; and, in case he didn't, add in with your note. if he cares he will contact you and if he doesn't, at least you'll know and can go on with your life. good luck!

Try talking to him, see how he feels in a round about way with out telling him how you feel, and if what he says sounds like he feels the same, then tell him, or don't say anything and live your life in a what if I only said something to put some kind of closer on the situation.

you need to move on with your life - as you said, he has a life now, there is nothing more you can do. if he believed something someone else told him and caused the break up, then maybe he wasn't in love with you. The move will do you good.

I agree with Blazegirl, it's time to move on and not hold on to bits of great times you may have had with him.
You will soon meet new people and laugh at this brief moment in your life...
Good luck to your heart...

I think you should find him, and tell him. Anything and everything. What's the worse that could happen? If you at least try, you have nothing to lose.
