Two choices, comb-over or shave it off.

I know EXACTLY how you feel.

I started losing my hair when I was about 22 and it really hit me. I would do all sorts of crap to cover it up, constantly checking and re-combing it to cover any patches, never going swimming, avoiding windy days - it progressively got worse and worse until it amost controlled me and started destroying my confidence. It got to the point where I would count how many hairs were in my brush after washing it!

I tried all sorts of 'magic' fixes and potions, all of which had the same effect - to make me poorer! There is No cure, No treatment and No way to reverse it - then came the moment of truth - I shaved it all off!

It had got to the point where I had a definate bald spot so I went for the grade 1 cut - Talk about a release! It minimised the bald patch, looked good and was such an immense relief!

I really wish I had just shaved the lot off years ago rather than go through all that stuff - please do yourself the biggest favour ever - shave it off and avoid the worry. (Plus all your lady friends will not be able to resist giving your head a stroke!)

Be brave - go for it!

if you have the right head shape (a normal shape, not too many lumps and bumps) then go for it, shave it off. if you don't and it's bothering you that much get hold of something to help it grow, seems some products these days really do work! the best person to help is your hairdresser, if this is a barber forget it, go to a professional hairdresser and get some good advice, its worth the money.

I suggest using a shampoo made for thinning hair, and hair regrowth, its expensive but works. Also take your vitamins, hair falls out do to age, genetics, stress, illness, lack of nutrition and medications you may be taking. Talk to your doctor, you may need some tests done.
Nioxin products are used for patients recovering from Chemo as well as regular folks suffering from thinning hair.

Sounds like you might have alopecia. You can go to the doc and get a perscription shampoo. Somtimes stress can make your hair fall out to. So can drugs and not eating healthy.

If you've ruled out medical reasons for hair loss, like thyroid problems, hormonal problems and alopecia then it might be worth seeing a Trichologist, they can rule out fungal infections in the roots etc and give you advice on keeping it!

hello, must be something going round because loads of people are asking questions about it on here.

its a scary thing to loose hair, i know i have alopecia. there can be many reasons for hair loss, ie stress, diet, lifestyle, health ect. i suggest u go to your GP and maybe get a blood test for low iron because this can cause hair loss. from then on if your still loosing it go to see a dermatologist or a trichologist, these are specialists who take swab samples of your scalp. good luck and dont worry about it because it makes it worse!

btw dont forget EVERYBODY looses hair everyday!!! its normal!!!

If your a guy then there isn't much you can do to stop it. Nature is just taking it's course. But if you're a girl see your doctor because you might have alopetia. A good wig might help.

I just gave in and shaved mine off. Takes a week to get used to it but I would never grow it back now.
