Cut all bad carbs. By "bad" carbs, I mean the obvious ones -- French fries, potato chips, soda, Coke, cookies, pie, cake -- junk food. Avoid Macdonalds and Burger King. You need a better source of carbs for energy, such as whole wheat breads (multi-grain), oatmeal (the kind you cook, not that instant stuff), sweet potatoes or yams (not white), fruit, vegetables.

Eat good low-fat sources of protein, such as lean, skinless chicken, fish, lean steak (no gravies), etc.

Watch your fat intake (you need fat, believe it or not) and make sure it is of a good quality, such as extra virgin olive oil (instead of butter or margarine), and use it sparingly. Trim the fat from any meat before you cook it. Avoid the luncheon meats (packaged ham, etc.) because they are loaded with fat and sodium. Avoid mayo and high-fat salad dressings.

Eat more meals per day, but eat smaller meals, about 6 smaller meals. Don't eat too much past 6pm because you don't need too much energy in the evening. Your bigger meals should be at the start of your day and mid-day when you need energy.

Seek out a sensible exercise program, with some weight training and some cardio. You will see results! Don't get discouraged if you reach a plateau where the weight seems to stop dropping, or if you have a dietary lapse. Just keep going. It WILL work.

The attached site has lots of information, and you can search it for exercise programs and diet tips.

Good luck -- you can do it!

Eat lean meats, and lots of fruits and veggies...stay away from fast food, sweets, sodas, etc. Drink lots of water.

Get a good cardio workout 3 - 5 times a week...and do some toning work to build muscle, which will help you burn more calories...

Good luck and have a great football season!

Both are good for you, each fruit/vegetable has different vitamins. And so as more variety, as better. Vegetables have generally less sugar than fruits.

go weight train at the gym, and take lots of protein powders.

gaining muscle burns a lot of fat, what guy doesn't want that huh? and taking a lot of protein powder will make you very muscular.

cut down on carbohydrate and sugar righ food. stock up on protein especially if you're doing a weight-training program. if you are doing weights, its important to include a cardio/aerobic activity (running, cycling, swimming) so that your muscle mass not only builds strength, but also endurance & flexibility. and take good care of your joints.
