Impossible to tell you over the Internet that you have herpes simplex one, which is above the belt line. Simplex 2 is below the beltline. Here's the kicker, if you wash your face, then use the same cloth to wash your genital area, you could transfer the herpex down there and then have Herpes Simplex 2, which is then considered a STD, because you can pass it on via sex. Best advice, treat it like it is herpes, no cross contamination, another words, use different cloth each time you clean your face and genital area. I would suggest going to see your primary care physician. Several medications that require a prescription that can sure help Herpes Simplex one. Plus drink lots of fluids, vitamin c, fruit juices excellent source. However this may burn the ulcers in your mouth. If so mix Maalox with benadryl elixir, this will coat the mouth, and bumps, will help a lot. Follow label directions on Benedryl elixir, do not exceed recommend dosage and then mix equal part of Maalox with it, swish and swallow, will also coat the esophagus. Thanks for the opportunity to address your question.

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).
Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.
The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid—such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.

You could have herpes, you could have friction burns. You should go to the doctor ASAP because if it's herpes and you get medication immediately you can keep it from manifesting.
