That happens to me sometimes, too.
Basically what it is is when you have been sitting down and then stand up quickly the blood has to start moving faster in order to keep up with your body's movement. The lightheadedness results from a lack of sufficient bloodflow to the brain. The brain doesn't need as much bloodflow when you are sitting or resting. The best way to prevent this is to not stand up so quickly. This is very common in younger people.
It could also be a low blood sugar level.

i have actually had this problem too...it was a few things in my case...first of all, i am a petite person, 5 foot tall, 110 pounds, my blood pressure was 70/50 for a long time, i swore that i should have died by now because it was so low...by having low blood pressure can cause that feeling...you could also be dehydrated, try drinking more water...i was also told that i was Anemic, low red blood cell count can cause lightheadedness and that weird vision thing....
go to your doctor, make sure your BP is within normal range and see if maybe you can get a CBC test done

Your blood pressure is different when you are laying flat (supine), then when you are sitting up, and also different from when you stand up. So your blood is trying to compensate for the different positions you are in. If you get worried about it, talk to your doctor. Mention 'syncope' pronounced 'sin-co-pee'

This usually happens when you get up too fast, it's called a 'head rush', and it can make you dizzy and nautious. If that's not what it is, you should probably go to the doctor and tell him/her your symptoms.
