You would have to go down to the American Embassy and have the following things
Passport
Prove of Marriage
and than you have to file some Papers....also you will have to do the same for the English government

You don't have to register your marriage; in fact, there is no mechanism for doing that. If it was performed legally in the UK, it is automatically considered legitimate in the US, too.

If you're asking about a possible immigrant visa for your new spouse, that is done through an I-130 petition filed with DHS. Again, your UK marriage certificate will be accepted without question, as is.

coontact the us state dept who runs the embassies at www.state.gov or looking here at www.firstgov.gov and the immigration dept at www.uscis.gov you need a certf of marriage from where you got married. make sure it is legal however that goes in the uk.
