Sony Digital Handycam?

My Sony Digital Handycam will not switch off - not even when I turn the dial to "off". When i take out the battery it obviously turns off, but when i put it back in it turns on! Ive tried everything.

It could just be a problem with the switch.
Do NOT try to fix it yourself, you may need to send it to sony if its under warrenty or to authorised camera repair shop.
