You will need 8 sqm assuming the type you want comes in 4m width. If you lay the other way with 2m width and you can buy by half metre, then you might get off with 2x3.5 which is 7 metres! Don't forget the doorways and below any plinths!!

You just multiply - you've got 8 square metres. But depending on how the shape is and how much cutting you have to do there is always loss. Some products you buy 10% extra, some more than that. You don't want to waste money with a lot of leftover, but you don't want to go back to the store because you came up a tiny bit short. You may get good advice at the flooring store.

The amount of vinyl really depends on the shape of the room and the design pattern you choose. Find out what width the vinyl is manufactured in to be sure it is wide enough for your floor, if not and it does have a repeating pattern, then you'll need to add more vinyl than 8 based on the pattern repeat.

Your area is 6.77 Sq. Meters. But you probably need More because the rooms usually have corners and jogs so you will need more. Measure the room including the area that has counters and any other obstruction. There are 100 Cm to a Meter. Get your Square meters this way.

8, i.e. 4m length off a 2m width roll

If you can only get the vinyl you want in a 3m width then you will need 12 square metres unless you are happy to have a join.

round them up to the nearest convenient point so your room is effectively 350cm (3.5m) X 200cm (2m) then just multiply them together 3.5 X 2 = 7 so that's 7 square metres of vinyl that you will need.

349cm = 3.49m......194cm = 1.94 cm

3.49m x 1.94m = 6.7 sqare metres but !!!!!!
Vinyl will come in 4m length and you will need about 2m length
so allow 8 square metres for costing.

3.49 metres x 1.94 metres = 6.77 sq metres, this depends on width of vinyl you are using.
