I don't go to a physical church; I prefer to sit out under a nice tree or in my own chair and talk to God. We seem to connect better that way than in a building full of people either not listening or who are hypocritical. As for denying Jesus, Peter had no problem doing that and he was forgiven. Blessings to you.

I'm a little different. I'm humiliated when sex is brought up as a discussion topic, or on tv as a joke. I would much rather talk about God!
Nevertheless, I understand your point. It does seem that our society is way more interested in sex and a loose life than in God. I'm not one who can thoroughly understand this, since my interests are different than a lot of people's. I love to study about religions, and my main motivation is that I feel that by doing so, I learn about God, and about how to be more compassionate and wise. So my "fun" is reading a book about God. I enjoy visiting various Churches. I love reading religious magazines just to see what each one is saying, and to see if they have some wisdom that I could take from it and learn from.
I have a hard time understanding what others see in bars and playboy and stuff like that. But then again, I have a hard time seeing what others see in football. It just doesn't happen to be an interest of mine.
So I am a little biased in answering this question.
But I will assume that somehow, to other folks, these other things are fun while the "God stuff" is boring. Maybe they just have a different make-up than I do. But I think it is important for ALL of us - no matter what interests us - to not let our interests get in the way of our friendship with God. Even I can possibly let my studies of religions get in the way. I can get bogged down in the facts and in trying to learn more and more, and neglect my personal relationship.
We all have things like this that can get in the way of our relationship with God. We just need to recognize it and keep trying to improve I guess.

no I do not do these things.
people wake up in the morning expecting a boring sermon so they go back to sleep when they get there. people are scared they will look bad if they talk about god, but everyone talks about sex so there is no way to look bad. some people are perverts and would love to look at a playboy magazine because the christian magazine doesn't have what they want. people like to repost the nasty ones because they themselves are nasty and believe the godly mess is again as i say, boring. as i say, people are perverts and would love to watch the pretty girls dance for them rather then listen to the preachers who are speaking to them.

If the churches would speak more about truth and not about money and-------- Most Christian religions do not have the whole picture and have made God into a mean limited person and that is why the churches are getting smaller. If you want to have the real truth on Jesus Christ go to www.essene.org They are the original Christians and found the lost teachings of Jesus most of it was in the Basement of the Vatican. Also read You Mean That's in the Bible by Satyaraja dasa

i can tell you that JUST the opposite of everything you said happens just as much. I dont know if it is easier to talk about sex in public places. This has not definitely been the case in past centuries. When i grew up it was NOT uncommon for children to say the word Hell and get their mouth washed out with soap. and just as much before the 1960's Sex was always taboo to talk in public places. it has always been said dont talke about religion and government. but just turn on the tv and the radio and you can hear discussion on the subject of religion almost any time of the day.
Those who repost the nasty Ones are agents of darkness either they dont know God and therefore that cant act like a saint or they are antichrists deliberately trying to deceive anyone they can.

because church is boring, people like sex, christian magazines are boring reads and based on superstition, playboy has good articles, godly "mesages" were sent by people NOT GOD, some churches are getting smaller because people are waking up to realize that religion is superstition, bars are fun otherwise nobody would go, NO I will not repost this chain letter because I am a rational adult, yes I think anyone who would post this is worthy of laughter, No god isn't watching me....you have NO EVIDENCE to support this bizzare claim....I have already denied jusus MANY times in front of my friends and strangers.

Church sermons are for the most part telling you how bad your are. I would sleep through that. In fact I converted to a diffrent religion because of it. Chruches are getting smaller because they have lost touch with what is happening in the world. People are not ignorant and want to be told how to think. People are thinking for themselves now. I don't need a church to tell me how to think. If you and a dumb little lamb by all means be herded into a building and told what to think by someone old guy.

Your wrong, people fall a sleep in church because god did not say is was a sin.
Churches are getting larger and people go to bars to drink and then go to church to repent, and if God does not have a blind eye to us then surly we are all doomed, even the most faithful, Think if God had a human mind set we would all be burning in hell right now, use the brain for something useful like helping someone you don't know

No, I don't do these things you mentioned above and I seek always to follow Jesus in all His teachings. Unfortunately, our current society has changed drastically but there are many of us out here who still believe in living a moral life, living the ten commandments, and love our God above all else.
