Hi guys ok so, at school we've got this huge musical going on, the phantom of the opera and my guy friend is the phantom, and now im wondering, what do you give him after the shows over? cause the actreses get flowers, but what do you give guys?? chocolates or what? help please...

It is entirely appropriate to give a theater guy flowers. If you don't want to do flowers you might look for something kichy from the show-ie a mask signed, a poster signed by everyone. One of my students who is a 19 year old male recieves a kite for every show he does, but truly, most of my male students recieve flowers.

Flowers for a guy are great. Also, a dvd or recording of a classic musical, or tickets to a show are excellent as well. a painting, or photo. A digital picture from the show.

DVD of The Phantom of the Opera - if he doesn't have it..
Plan B: anything! A lot of guys get nada so if he's a bud, get him what he likes.

You could give him flowers too, or buy a personalised gift which he'll appreciate more, and will last longer than the flowers! Perhaps something to do with the musical, or something you know he'll like. Cliches don't have to be followed! You could try doing that for the actresses too - I bet they'd like that more than dead plants!

I would give him a single red rose in an arrangement with a black mask, or something just as elegant. Maybe add a picture frame with a promo shot of him as the lead. If you can find a black frame, you can paint a mask design around the edge using white or red nail polish, add some rhinestones or write his name.

i like getting chocolates, my nan gives me some after every show i do, i'd much rather have them than chocolates - also they are much cheaper than a dvd or tickets to a show!!
