If she has healthy teeth and gums, then try getting her a tounge scrapper. Most of the bacteria dwells on the tounge and if you never scrap or brush it off, it builds up and relases an odor. Some people are more suseptable to this than others. So try the scrapper and have her use that everyday, and see if that helps. After that have her use a good mouth wash called creast pro health. That can help as well. If neither works after awhile, then bring her to the dentist they have good perscription rinses that should help.

your daughter may not be making enough saliva. Salvia is supposed to help keep your mouth fight bad breath you might try taking your daughter to a ear nose and throat doctor. but consult your dentist about seeing that doc. If your kid gets sinus infections or has a lot of soar throats chest infections that will cause bad breath. untill you can get her to the doc try using listerine pocket packs she can use them while she is at school, maybe it will make her feel a little better about her breath. Also what does her breath smell like? If fruity check for diabeties. Metalic is gingavitis. Drinking more water might help as well.

Floss, brush your teeth, scrape your tongue, rinse with a mouthwash of your choice. Avoid foods that make bad breath, like onions and garlic. If none of that helps, consult your doctor or dentist to see where the smell is coming from.
If you do a search on the internet using "bad breath" as your search term, you will find almost five MILLION references. Here's a good place to start:
http://www.ada.org/public/topics/bad_breath.asp
The odors from garlic and onions enter your blood stream and then it takes a couple of DAYS before you breathe it all off. As you do this, you will continue to have bad breath. You can only use a mouthwash or breath mint (sugarless) as needed to mask the odor. I have read a lot of answers here saying to eat parsley to get rid of garlic breath, but I have no personal knowledge about that. Try it.

Sounds to me like she has a sinus infection. Even if she does not currently have any symptoms. This can cause awful bad breath. Take her to the doctor, I bet they will find the cause.
Good luck.

She may have an infection of some sort. Take her to the doctor and make sure. Sometimes an infection or virus can cause bad breath.

Try having her use Biotene Toothpaste and Biotene Mouthwash, they are enzyme based bacteria killers, much better than Listerine and such at killing germs.
Before bed and in the morning have her floss, brush, and mouthwash and ten not eat or drink for 20mins.

How old is she? When my brother was about 2 he shoved pieces of sponge up his nose, no one saw him do this and within a few days he started to smell so bad. They thought it was his breath to but eventually you couldn't even come near him for the smell. My poor parents were told by our GP he might have brain tumor and he needed a MRI...but he was referred to a ENT specialist first who took one look up his nose and pulled the rotting sponge out......problem solved.
If she is young check that she hasn't shoved something up her nose lol. Otherwise sounds like its dentist time for her.

Does she still have her tonsils. Perhaps she has (I think lay people call them) sneeze nuggets. Food debris, etc. that get caught in their tonsils. They're sometimes expelled when you sneeze and they smell HORRIBLE.
It could also be her sinuses.
Physician/dentist is your best bet on the off chance it's an infection.

does she have recurrent allergies or sinus infections? There could be a problem with her tonsils and adnoids......that made my daughters breath smell horrible even after she had just brushed her teeth......look into her throat and see if her throat looks dark red and or swollen....if it is then you might go see a ear nose and throat specialist
