When was Stuart Davis, the modern artist, born?

I've found ambiguous dates on the internet. When is the correct date?

Stuart Davis was born in 1894 and died in 1964. He's one of my favorite American artists from the mid-20th. century. Although he did study with Robert Henri, he went on to develop his own unique style very much different from the other contemporary artists, like Pollock and De Kooning, of his time.

Born in 1894 in Philadelphia. Most importantly was a student of Robert Henri. All Henri's students were artists! And you can't spell 'Stuart' without the word 'art'.
