I have his name, rank, and serial #. I also found out he was last located in west VA. How can I contact him?

Pretty much everybody in the Coast Guard has an official e-mail address. All you have to do is send an e-mail with periods between the first name, middle initial, and last name (no spaces between them) (john.h.smith@uscg.mil) and they should get it.

Go to www.military.com, click on buddy finder and your all set. You may have to register an account, but it's free and you don't have to be prior military yourself. You can also talk to anyone in the coast guard and they can look it up on their computers. Since very few coast guard members live in barracks I would try a white pages search of the city you know him to have been from last.

of your friend.
You will find him.
