1John 2:16 says, "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world." This points to the fact that we all inherit a sin nature as the result of the Fall into sin by Adam. Romans 5:14, Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
Romans 5:14, Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
Romans 5:15 says tells us about that nature and gives us the solution, "But not as the offense, so also is the free gift. For if through the offense of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many." The lawlessness does not cause sin, but the law merely reveals sin, because it is part of the Living Word.
Good question though, if you want to E-mail me anytime I would be happy to hear from you. I want to add that the focus needs to be on sin as the means of separation from God and then the redemption from sin through Christ's death and resurrection. That is what changes men's spirits and points them to Truth.

The desire to Lord it over material nature. When you give up this desire then you will not sin any more. The four pillars of sin are 1 illicit sex (sex out side of marriage) 2 Intoxication (including cigarettes), 3 Eating meat and killing 4 Gambling. It is said gambling must be avoided because all the other sins reside in a casino. So if one gives up these main sins then the others Will gradually stop. But it is very difficult to do without being constantly in contact with God within your heart. Chant His name incessantly within and without and you will become fully purified and all desire for sin will gradually go away. Go to www.stephen-knapp.com for more information on Universal truths

Adam's sin is the root cause of sin. Ro. 5:12 says: "That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned." Adam was created perfect. When he rebelled against God and sinned, he became imperfect. He then passed on that same defect to his offspring. That is why we all sin, get sick, grow old and die.

The fall of man in the Garden of Eden is the root cause of sin. Adam and Eve disobeyed God and that is sin. With their disobedience came death (spiritual and physical).

Pride is the root of all sins. Pride is a demonic spirit that brings forth destruction and a great fall.
