In general, with psychotropic medications, and many other kinds of medications, alcohol should be avoided as it can intensify potential side effects, and is therefore contraindicated.
This is true for Seroquel (Quetiapine) and Lustral (Sertraline) since they can both make you drowsy.
Always discuss these things with your doctor before taking medication. Your pharmacist should know the answer to your question, as well.

NO! I have taken Seroquel and it tells you that you cannot drink on this med. Not to mention that anytime that you are on anti-psychotic drugs it is not a good idea to drink. It really throws off any progress that you have been making. Try to find an alternative to drinking. NOT DRUGS EITHER! LOL Just try to be social and come up with a good excuse for not drinking. You could always tell them that you are on meds that can get you sick, very sick if you drink. That's not lying. If they wanna know what the name of the medicine is just tell them you don't remember and then you are safe from having peeople know you are schizophrenic. Hell, that's what I have always done! go to the website www.drugdigest.org to look up any interactions or precautions while you are on any meds. That website has been a wealth of info for me. Good luck to you!

It should tell you on the label - if it says 'avoid alcohol' then you shouldn't drink.

Why don't you ask your doctor this ?
We don't want to be responsible if something happens to you.
