having a boyfriend has opened my eyes to the world. I now know a whole different side of me that I've never known. My boyfriend is my best friend, I talk to him about everything. I have problems opening up to people and he's the only person I've ever been able to talk to. Theres just a joy that comes with seeing the one person that can make your heart beat faster and slower at the same time. There is a bliss that comes with having a boyfriend sure you may fight at times and things aren't always going to be fun and games but you get through it and come out with only the happy memories and everything else is forgotten.

The point of having a boyfriend or girlfriend is to test the waters to see what kind of person you are looking for, and eventually when the time is right you marry the person whom you think is the best match for you.

Well, The best reason I can think of for having a g/f - b/f
Is for companionship. Some one to spend time with.
Someone who you have feelings for,one who hopefully understands your needs and desires ,
cares about your feelings, as you do theirs..
Someone to share things with.
Even though I don't have that,
Those are the reasons why I would like to have
an honest loving b/f.

I can only tell you in the girls view point. Its nice to have a person to share moments with, caring for someone and having someone care back. Don't you have fun sharing a funny story or incident that happened. To share a hug, a kiss, to feel special with someone special. To let them know that they are special too. To have a fun time with. its nice to cuddle with someone.
The way I look at it a boyfriend is someone special to be with, like your very best friend.

Sometimes its great to have someone just to be with. Though you don't have to have that someone to feel special on your own,
for your a unique individual that is special in your own right.
Meeting another person gives you objectivity and sampling who you are best suited with. there are so many people out there, and sharing time with someone special just feels good.
Your heart will tell you what you need to know when the time is right.

The point of having a boy-friend, or girl-friend, it is important to have friends. Just because they put boy or girl in front of friend shouldn't have to mean any more or less than what it is. A friend no matter what, especially if , they are a true friend.

I think that both sexes simply feel a need to be with someone who is special and makes THEM feel as if they are special as well. You can be alone and enjoy life, sure, but isn't it much better to share that with someone? The real trick is finding the RIGHT one to share it with, and that is what makes us miserable for most of our adult lives.

from a female view-
having a boyfriend, its something every girl wants. someone to be there, someone to talk to, someone to spend time with. to be loved.

Being in a relationship can be the best thing that could ever happen to someone, yet the worst sometimes too.
as i girl, i see having a boyfriend not as a neccesity but just something i love to have. we share everything and its just nice to have someone who you can depend on and love.

i dont like to refer to them using the word bf or gf, coz it seems temporary to me...id love to find permanence in any relationship, ...
well, a relationship is sth good for ppl who want to be loved and cared, and give devotion in return.
i dont support ppl who makes gf/bf only to hang out with and have a good time.
