The Muslims get on their knees and pray but if a religious American shows his religion he will/can be fired. Why the double standard?

i don't think someone can be fired for wearing a cross but i get what you're trying to say
it seems everyone thinks that Christians are an endangerment to the world and we are not tolerant of other religions so they attack us.
most people want us to believe islam is a religion of peace so they accept it
it could also be the whole thing with trying to rid America of Christianity
Christ also said we would be persecuted by the world because we are not of the world and are His
the world loves his own
we are not the world's but Jesus told us to rejoice when things like these happen, He's given us all the strength we need to endure the persecution

Discrimination. Christians are the only group that it is socially acceptable to discriminate against or poke fun at. I used to work at a job where I was supposed to work on Easter, but the muslims got their religious holidays off. I quit.
To those above...there was just a recent news story that a woman in England was told she could not wear religious jewelry (her cross) or she would be fired.

Christians dont get fired for wearing a cross, i see people wearing all sorts of religious symbols where i work Hindu bracelets, catholic saints around there necks, cross etc and my boss is a Muslim, never been a problem......but there is no place for Muslims to pray at my job....interesting huh? And referring to the woman in England who got "fired" for wearing a cross, it was the dress code of British Airways for no religious symbols to be shown. She did not have to remove it just where it under her neck scarf and she refused... her right true, but women with star of Davids and St. Christophers dont take them off just cover them. Why should she be any different. She knew the dress code when she joined the job. The difference with Muslims praying at work is that it is a obligations that has to be fulfilled. One of the five pillars of Islam. Wearing a cross is not an obligation for Christians its not a requirement of the faith its a choice. Praying for Muslims is.............................

Yes, there is a very bad double standard at your work place, does the Muslims have a holy book on their desk and you probaby will be fired if you keep your Holy Bible at your desk, even in your desk drawer so the boss does not see it. The only reason the Muslims can practice thier religion freely is because they are a minority, like african-americans and even the hispanics. Christians are more mainstream, american then they are.

Because the world has been built on false religion and will not accept the one true God, this is the way it has been from the beginning of time.

if this is the case as u say, then it is definately very unfair, out of un usual,as whole world knows normally muslims r never treated good....well in either case if they r muslims or christians it is wrong....
all should be treated equally n with justice,i think following religion is no sin to work, who ever it is,muslim, christian,or jew.u definately need to talk to higher authority.
double standard......seriously i cannot understand it myself, like MUSLIMS,out of all muslims allowed to follow religion, whom they criticize the most in media n society.

There's no double standard. I've worn a cross necklace to work before and no one fired me.
