At 5'2", 175, your BMI (body mass index) is 32. Anything over 30 is considered obese. So yes, this puts you in a high risk category healthwise. (Calculated here: http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/)

However, it does depend on your body composition. For example, a heavy duty weight lifter may have a higher BMI but not actually have much extra body fat. It also depends on if you're male or female. But if you're only 13, in all likelihood, your weight puts you in the "obese" category and is creating health risks.

Be kind to yourself (find a way without food to do that if you can) while you keep searching for an answer. I have great friends with weight issues. Most of them want to eat when stressed, I can't, I feel sick. Check into a nutritionist and someone who can help with a "lifestyle" food plan. As far as I know, the lifestyle food plans work. Check out Oprah. My best to you hon.

Well, it depends. I'm sure you are just big boned. Some people weigh a lot and you look at them and ask them how much they weigh and they'll say a large number, and the other person would be in shock. It really all depends.

You are probably just full figured, don't worry about it.

Your not necessarily overweight! It might just be your muscles, because, after all muscle weighs more than fat!
