My dad and I decided to try Rasputin Stout to see if it tasted any good. It was the most vile and harsh stuff out there. It tasted like a combination of Robitussin and motor oil.

But yet, some people find it appealing. WHY? It's horrible!

Old Rasputin is a very well made Imperial Stout. It is perhaps the intensity of the style you dislike. My guess is that you would have a similar reaction to any Imperial Stout.
