My limewire is downloading super slow. Is there anything that can help speed it back up? I can download using other programs and it is just as fast as it ever was, so I do not think it is my connection. Thanks in advance.

Probably because of all the spy ware it is installing as well as your downloads.Try ares it is spy free and super fast,I have used limewire,kazza,kazza lite,Morpheus,grokster and ares and it works great plus you can get games,movies,screen savers,images,music,applications software etc

LimeWire runs in what is known as the Jave Runtime Environment, and this is what makes it about 300 times slower as a generic .exe file. However, on a relatively powerful computer, this difference is hardly noticable. Try to update it to the latest version for better performance. If you have a slow computer, you may also consider adding more RAM or just changing either the processor for a quicker one or changing the whole PC once and for all.

Hate to pass this on, but I had a Tech Support man at Gateway tell me he has lost too many hard drives and never downloads music anymore. I know people who have gotten viruses from limewire. I would at least find a different website if I were you. Try BitComet.

on search on limewire goto Programs
type in Limewire Pro
find it (watch out there are many standard limewires) and download it
it should be a lot quicker

I am sorry to say that Limewire is a bad thing as it is full of spyware and addware. My scanner went wild! when I tryed to download it my advice to you is DUMP LIMEWIRE out of your computer.

The free Limewire has always been slow .. if you upgrade ,it's a lot faster

in options in can select how uch of your bandwith you give to downloads or uploads, your options might be set low at low
