For example, say I record my interview with a subject for half an hour. When I transcribe it, about how many words will that be? Oh and yes, I mean English.

If the interviewee was talking as fast as the anchor person who does the evening news they would be at 200-250 words per minute. Think of that as the max. People normally talk at half that speed. If they are thinking carefully before they respond it might average less words per minute than the average.

Nothing personal, but I think that depends on which "sex" is talking. I believe women try to get in as much as possible in as short a time as possible. Whereas men, don't usually "get" to talk if they are talking with a woman....unless he's telling her something she wants to hear. OOps! I am a woman, and that's how I feel! I love men, and I "do" let them talk. Sorry girls....it's a fact. And sorry I didn't really answer your question...I was too busy talking! HAHAHA!
