It depends on your status. If you are in US you can marry a US citizen and get your green card, and then become a citizen (takes around 3 years). You can also apply for Green Card lottery which is playing right now. This is a website: http://www.dvlottery.state.gov/
-If you win the Green Card you'll receive it in less than 6 months and then you can apply for citizenship in 6 years; but with green card you have all the rights you'll need.
-Also, you can apply for green card through work, you'd have to speak with the employer (here in US - maybe somebody could sponsor you) and ask him to apply for you with the USCIS. (the following website has all the forms you'll need: http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/index.htm

-Hope this helps! Good luck!

Move to the US LEGALLY. get a company to give you a job and sponsor your visa. Become fluent in english. Live here for the required number of years. (I think it is 10 but you can look it up.) Then pass the citizenship test and voila :) you're American.

I'm glad you want to become a citizen instead of just coming here illegally, popping out a baby and taking advantage of the laws to stay here and collect government aid. Good luck.

it really is own decision in spite of the indisputable fact that that is the point of not turning out to be a citizen once you do not have any plans on leaving. Do you nonetheless carry allegiance on your abode u . s . a .? in basic terms because you're a citizen doesn't make you vote - more effective than 1/2 of eligible voters do not (not that it really is ideal).

Best of luck! Why don't you come up here to Canada. You're certainly qualified. No offence, but we take anybody. Even child molesters apparently.
