Why not contact him and tell him how you have been thinking about him and the good times you have had in the past. Ask him if he would like to join you for lunch or coffee or a movie. Take the initiative this time and see what develops.

if you like him very much and not expecting any thing in return (divine love) it is the easiest thing in the world. ur face may be telling it every moment when u stare each other.
if u really like him and wants his love all for you its bit difficult to tell him that u like him.
OK do one thing, take both of his hands , look at his eyes and just tell him you like him.
if he don't understand the depth of ur like , then also u r lucky.
no need to like such a fool. or u will regret

If you used to go out then the ice has allready been broken. You allready know each other.You could ask him out or let him know that you would like to go out with him again. But you should do it and not leave this important oppertunity up to your friends.

let him know that you would like to try things out again and see if they will turn out better than last time. see what he has to say, if its true that he still likes you, things will work out for the better and you wont have anything to worry about. Just ask him, best of luck.
