Is there anyone out there who has medium or dark brown hair who has had their hair done platinum blonde? How often do you need to get your roots done? Do you prefer you hair blonde?

It has to be done at hairdressers, otherwise the hair will have more damage. After bleaching the hair will be dry and yellow, so the hairdresser will have to put a shade which will make it look platinum. Every two weeks the roots show, and with platinum hair the contrast is high so it doesn't look good. I had platinum hair for about 3 years, and then I coloured it very light beige blonde and I like it better. The problem I had with platinum hair was that it turned a bit yellow once in a while.
Now I can color it myself without bleaching, and the roots are less visible.

I am a hair color freak. One month my hair is dark brown or maroon and the next it is platinum. I always like the blonde the best. If you are olive skin toned I would say stick to the dark hair. If you are a really pale person and cant tan easily I would also say stay with the brown. Its kinda hard to pull off platinum. Make sure you have some color to your skin so you dont look washed out. You will have to do your roots at least once a month. Blonde has a tendency to get brassy after a while so make sure you wash your hair on occasion witha blue base shampoo. Also bleaching your hair damages and drys it out a lot so also make sure you use a great conditioner with a good protein filler. I hope I cold help. Good luck!!!

I have naturally dark brown hair and i have gone platinum before. You need you get your new growth done about once a month if you want it too look right. I did this for about a year and a half and then i got real tired of it. Also you have to get real good and expensive hair products to keep the color. Now I have black underneath and blond, red and black highlight on top. It is way easier to upkeep. Hope I gave you something to work with. Good luck.

1) Going patinum blonde is going to be a decision that you can't easily cover. You're bleaching your hair, and usually it takes getting it rebleached every 2-3 weeks. It's expensive.

2) I'm all for hair coloring, but personally I would go blonde in the summer. Winter months bring out the darker colors. Why should be embarassed of your color?

3) Go to a professional for this. If you don't, you could end up with bright pink hair instead of blonde.

i think of you need to flow to a salon and do it. :) easily, I in basic terms found out this replaced into 5 years in the past.. Did you do it and did it seem wonderful? i decide for to dye my hair blonde or platinum blonde yet I even have tanned skin too. yet yeah. you need to attempt it in case you haven't any longer performed so already.. you are able to continually replace it back. :)
