Saying that you are the one true, superior religion (and saying it convincingly) is an incredibly powerful marketing tool. That's why the Christians and the Muslims are taking over the world.
It's all about Marketing.

I consider myself to be an "alternative christian". That is to say, though I do accept and believe the majourity of christian teachings, I must deny some in favour of those that make more sense. One of those beliefs that I've made personal alternations to, is the afterlife. First of all, God is love. You are love. Everything and everyone is love. Second, the Old Testament is compiled of stories past down through generations, that someone decided to record while God's people were wondering the dessert. Obviously, years of retellings will alter a story. So, a litteral interpritation of the OT is rediculous. Third, our God is a god of love and forgiveness; of second chances. Now I can lay my words. I believe in reincarrnation, though not as the 1st you're a goat, then you're a butterfly, then you're a person. No, I believe in it as a series of 2nd chances. If God loves us so much, why would he condemn his children to eternal damnation? The Bible is full of stories of repentance and forgiveness. That's how I believe the world carries on today. When we die, we are judged. If we are deemed worthy, we may join God in heaven (meaning we've died without mortal or orriginal sin on our hearts). If not, we are given a 2nd chance through earthly reincarnation. This cycle continues until we get it right, or until the last day. I consider Earth to be Purgatory. So to answer your question: Children go to heaven. It is very unlikely that they've killed someone, or commited adultury. So there's really no reason for them not to go to heaven. Besides, many of us have heard of angels being incarnated on Earth. Many times, children who die prematurely, are those angels. When they are no longer needed, and have completed their mission, they are called back to heaven. A good example of this, is the movie Simon Birch. Even if you're athiest, I recomend that movie. It's still great even if you ignore all the religious things. God bless, and I hope you find the answers you seek. ^_^

I believed that all religions are True in their own ways.(as long as you believed)No religion will teach their followers to kill.
Only some "Smart Alex" does it to their followers by using their Gods as a marketing tools for something.....
That doesn't mean the religion got to be responsible for it.
Because Christians and Muslims have the greater followers than the other Religion, that why you feel that, they are like "Enforcing you to believe"Cause Christians and Muslims are everywhere.Hope No Offend .
Some followers up there are really not answering your question, they are like trying to make an argument on Religion by saying that there is proven articles or its written in their "holy book".Just ask yourself ,have you personally experience anything or you are just a puppet, when people says "Yes“ you will say“ Yes“.
Criticizing other Religions for praying over an idol or dead bodies,is not the teaching of your God.Ask yourself this Question what does the "cross sign" means is it a symbol of your God.Why are you praying to the symbol?
Certain points from common sense down there i do agree. But I do not agee with him that it must be strongly believed,if someone out there doesn't believed in your Religion, what will you do to them? And also what are you trying to say if they don't recuit, the religion with die off(does that means the teaching of your God is not true?If it is the truth why are you afraid it will die off?) that's why you recuiting for power over the world?(sorry for that statement.)It seems to me its like some sort of "Dominating Power" over the world. That's why the asker place this Question.Cause you are misleading.
For Goodness sake live in Harmony!!!!

Obviously you are unfamiliar with fundamentalist Hindu violence in India. They've been fighting Muslims and Sikhs for centuries. As for Buddhism, I will simply note that predominantly Buddhist nations do not seem exempt from the same tendency to warfare that all other nations have (and do I need to mention Myanmar?). There is a civil war going on in Sri Lanka between Muslims and Buddhists in which the Buddhists are as guilty of atocities as their enemies.
Further, theologically, Buddhism certainly does claim to be superior to other religious systems, as does Hinduism (I am not conversant with Daoism in this respect, but I suspect that convinced adherents of Daoism also are convinced of the superiority of the religion). Hinduism in particular gives the appearance of a broad tolerance, but this is superficial; Hinduism is capable of simply absorbing other religious views while maintaining its own utter conviction of its fundamental truths. Rather like the pagan Roman emperor who had a shrine filled with all the gods worshipped by Roman citizens, in which he was perfectly content to place a statue of Christ. This is an approach which completely fails to face the characteristic existential and philosophical challenges posed by other faiths. It is, ultimately, a false openness.

Muslims want to change the distorted image that the enemies of Islam portrayed through mass media productions. Yes the truth can be only one and Islam the fastest growing religion and soon to be the largest cant be wrong. Islam is logical and evidence-based. It is also the only authentic and fully preserved religion today. Doesn't these ring a bell?
We don't enforce our faith on anybody but we would like every body to know the truth of Islam then to make his free choice. We just invite you and others to Islam and the decision is yours.

Every belief system ("religion") believes that it is the only true and correct way. Every belief system communicates that belief. Some do it softly. Some not so softly. Some pretty loudly. The reality of "true" is that every member of a particular belief system MUST believe that their system is RIGHT and everything else is WRONG. Otherwise, what's the value of being in something that isn't RIGHT? What's the value in being in something that's "just as good" as everything else? Simple human nature in action.
Every belief system attempts to convert (recruit) new members. Otherwise, it would shrink, dry up and die. Some recruiting is "soft sell". Some is "hard sell". But, the reality is that they ALL recruit.
Why all of these belief systems? To deceive and distract us from the one true God and from salvation thru His Son, Jesus.

so if you're saying that no religion is the true religion, you're saying that all religion is false. And if all religion is false than there is no god or afterlife and that our existance on the earth is meaningless.
You see, either 1 religion is correct or else there is no reason to continue living on earth other that to do as much as you can before you die. But if doing as much as you can before you die is your goal, than what happens when you finally do die? Nothing? Now usually im not one to go on a rant here, but by claiming there is no true religion really touches a sore spot of mine.

Because Islam used to be an empire, that's mean it is not just religion but country and system and Muslims consider Islam their citizenship and that applies to Christianity to some extent.

i as a muslim never claimed that Islam is a true religion(which it is)why, b\c i always believe in doing research, finding truth,n understanding.so i always ask to study religions, including Islam.
now why i think Islam is a true religion(even if i don't claim it to be),b\c it's the religion sent by God,after judaism,n christanity,so it's the conclusion of those religions too...
it preaches the laws n principles prescribed by God,to lead our lives accordingly,n only God has the right to do so.our belief starts with oneness of God.
Islam goes with pure evidence,Quran,a word of God,n it's first miracle is it's presence in unchanged form, since 1400 yrs,no other religions u mentioned like buddhism,or hinduism goes on with proper evidence.
christanity claims soo b\c they also have the word of God Bible, which unfortunately not present in it's original form..

First, I only believe in three religions; Judaism, Christianity, and Islam (God sent them in this order)
Second, those three religions are completary to each other, meaning, Christanity was sent to enlighten the Jews who were bound away from their true religion at the time, and Islam came to unite the other two religion into one...That's why, as a Muslim, I belief that Islam not the only true religion, but the last unifying one sent to people
