Ok, here's my question...how does someone have so much trust in God and Jesus that they don't even question his existence...even if there is information which contradicts the idea and says that God never existed. How can anyone put that much trust into someone/something they have never seen or had proof of existing?

If my faith is a result of a scientific proof of my faith, then it would not actually be faith, because faith is to believe what can't be seen. Faith is to see God by heart, not by eye.

Faith is a GIFT from God. After receiving this gift, it is our responsibility to grow in it.

God asks a lot of those who are given a lot, and asks a few of those who are given a few. So, those who have not received the gift of faith (excluding those who refuse it, although know it is true) will not be judged the same way as believers.

When some people ask me: "show me a proof of your faith", I answer with a strong heart: "you will see it later, when you die".

Please trust my words. God bless you.

God's Spirit...The Great Creator of this World...Why we breath every day.....A beautiful watch just didn't become it..it had to be thought out and made...God made Mankind and so on through our Savior Jesus Christ. That's why Jesus had to come and save us from our sins. No other could cause He is the One who made us with His Father's guidance. Faith! One third of God's word is profecy and when you read the Bible you will learn God's way and how my Love is there and perfection. If someone doesn't believe in God and still follows the 10 commandments and God's statues how peaceful would his/her life be. Very rewarding and peaceful! This is why God has put these instructions for mankind so we will have the best and have much peace and love. Not because he wanted to control us but so we would have life and life is God's way and anyother way is darkness. Which is the way most our going (the wide path). The narrow path is hard but the Way to eternal life in God's kingdom on earth. There is much much more to his plan. May you find it and ask God with all you heart to help you to this Way. There is hope for all of us. All of us will get a fair chance. with Christian love, B

Very difficult question to answer!
All the usual stuff immediately springs to mind:-
They all 'need' something to believe in, like druggies 'need' drugs!
Upbringing, they blindly follow the lead of their parents and teachers, which includes the society they live in!
Lack of any real knowledge of what it is they are actually supposed to be believing in, for example ask your 'average' Christian to explain The Holy Trinity!
Ask your average Muslim to explain passages from the Koran! etc etc for all religions.
They will tell you they have very clever leaders and 'teachers' that can explain all these things for them!
In other words they themselves don't know, what it is all about,
They are really like lemmings' follow the leader!
It's both very sad and amusing at the same time.
'They' of course will come along with their 'usual stuff'!
There must be a God, just look around you at the beauty of the earth, and the birds and the bees, where did they come from?
There is ample 'proof' in the bible, just read chapter so and so verse such and such!
Our belief in God comes from the heart! etc etc!
I suspect these arguments havebeen ongoing since the world began, there can never be any actual 'proof' either way!
I wish I could think of one (no matter how fantastic a theory), I've been trying for a long time now but just cant get it together!!
So even though I have rambled on a bit here, my answer is I dont really know, and neither do they!!

There is no evidence that says God never existed...yes the Bible contradicts itself, and that's why some people question Jesus and who he was. That's why my faith doesn't depend on a book or on churches. It's not hard for me to believe in God, I just look out the window and know that something had to create all of this. There's alot more to life then what we see.

Belief is a gift of God. You can't work it up for yourself but can receive it from God.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God, Rom 10/17. It is hearing God speaking to you through His word.

We are talking about revelation and perhaps that is why it is so strong. Something inward, a bit like recognising the voice of a loved one, someone close, maybe your mum or dad or spouse - how can you explain how you recognise it, you just do but you can't tell someone else how to recognise that voice.

It is not like a telephone call but more of a monition, a dawning, a realisation and a conviction. God speaks through conscience and His voice can be as certain as the demands of conscience.

Many people may hear his voice but push it away just as you can stifle conscience. Many are called but few are chosen. Today, if you will hear His voice, harden not your heart.

Sooner or later He will bring you to an awareness of your sinfulness and your desperate need of salvation and also of His great mercy and love in providing a Saviour for you. These things will be real, they will become more real to you than you have ever known before.

I do not want to limit God's way of working for He reserves how He will deal with each one, and He does in many and varied ways, but these elements will be there sooner or later , somehow or other.

Salvation is not something you can do, it is God's work, He does it, but of course
we respond to it.

God's work will always bring you to Jesus Christ and will never contradict the Bible

In a sense you are not putting your faith in someone/something that you have never seen or had proof of existing, for God has witnessed to you and revealed to you and this can be more powerful than sight or proof or senses. It is not a blind faith as so many allege or suppose. That, and the love that He has, and gives, is what can carry a person to suffer a painful death, in full knowledge and awareness, for the sake their Saviour. This is the genuine thing.

We are urged to seek, and surely no one in their right minds would not, but there can be many hindrances, doubts and dissuasions, but Christ said, All that the Father gives me shall come to me and him that comes to me I will in no wise cast out.

I hope my answer, inadequate as it may be, gives something towards explaining.

I read a few answers ~ and boy!~ do people get hostile over questions sometimes. I believe because I have always believed. When I was a child & we talked about God there was not a doubt in my mind God was in heaven & watched me & everyone else. I can see how adults rationalize things like "Well I only believe things I can see." or " Well God didn't give me a good life or what I wanted when I wanted it, so how can there be a God?" But I feel like there truly is a balance to life, and God oversees that. I wonder how people don't believe the same way you wonder how I do. We're so funny aren't we, but I just read a quote yesterday that said when we are kids we rush to grow up, then we do & long to be children again. We just need to have faith. Faith in God will lead u to true love.

Why wouldnt you? The proof IS there everytime we look outside and see the creation that God has made. The proof IS there when you see yourself in the mirror of what he has made. The proof IS there with the deep soul to the heart feeling of the spirit that we know there is more.

Seeing? Does one have to "see" to believe or would one want to believe to "see?

Information is all in what is called the Bible and if youlet God guide you, you will have your answers that is more than just information. Trust, faith, Love, Peace, joy, GOD

Faith. I've had proof of His existence though. I know without a doubt God is real. And there is historical proof Jesus existed. He must have made some kind of impact for us to base time on Him, don't you think?

Faith, like everyone else has said. But I would like to define it for you.

Faith in general, is an assent of the mind to the truth of some proposition on the word of another, God or man. Devine faith is therefore the holding of some truth as absolutely certian becaue God, Who can neither deceive nor be deceived, has spoken it. It is not merely a feeling or a suspicion or an opinion, but a firm, unshakeable adherence of the mind to a truth revealed by God. The motive of Dinvine faithm or the reason why we believe, is God's authority, His unfailing knowledge and truthfulness. We believe the truths of faith not because our minds understand them, can see them, but because the Infinitely Wise and Truthful God has revealed them. This motive of faith must be not confused with motives of crediblitiy. Thse latter are signs, and amoung them the surest are miracles and prophecies, by which we can conclude with full certitude that God has revealed and that therefore there is a strict obli0gation to accept the truths He has ma0de known. It is certian that god has spoken, it is unreasonable to withhold assent to His truths. All that God has revealed and nothing else is the object of Divine faith, for it is that and that alone which can be accepted on the word of God. Through a man may be able by his own resources to learn the main truths revealed by God, the normal and usual way is through the Church which has been commissioned by Christ to teach in His name and with His authority. Divine faith is a supernatual act and therefore requires the grace of God. This grace is given to all adults who do not place any obstacle in its way. Without faith no man can be saved. For as infants the virtue of faith received at the time of Baptism suffices, but for adults and act of supernatual faith that God exists and rewards the good and punishes the evil is necessary for salvation.

look around you and see, the way that things are made, the way that mountains are put, the sea and rivers. look at the human body how we were created. look at what is in the space and what we are finding out. trust me if you want to find god, look around you, look closely and you will find what your looking for. also this world is like a large successful company, if it didn't have a leader, it would have never been a big and successful to begin with or if this leader had resigned and no one took his/her place, what a mess that will create. this world didn't happen by chance, its all organised and its all run through a system and only Allah (god) is to thank for that.
